In a different reality I'd sit by you for a while and we'd share a sandwich. Eat it on the steps of some old house while watching the sunset. Listen to the evening fall and feel the summer fading away. The crickets would break the silence at times. And you, me, the crickets, the world, would be less alone for a few minutes. And that would be enough. May you be at peace in all the realities you encounter along the way.
